Aims and Objectives of the Organisation:
To provide basic civic service to the inhabitant of the Municipal area.

Brief History and Background for its establishment :
The Municipal was formed on dt 13.08.2001 vide Notification No. 30800 dt 13.08.01 of Govt of Orissa in H&UD Deptt. Prior to this it was a Notified Area Council w.e.f 14.03.1972 notified vide Notification No. 7271 Dt. 13.03.1972 of the Self same Govt.
Organisation Charts :
The Council consists 11 Nos. of elected councilors and 1 Chairperson is direct elected by public. Direct elected Local M.P. & M.L.A or their representative. Among the 11 councilors one is being elected by the as Vice-Chairperson.
The NAC Office is executing by One Executive Officer is being posted by the Govt. This having AssistantEnginner/Jr.Engineer-1, Municipal Engineer-1(part time), Sr. Assistant-1, Jr.Assistant-1,Tax Collector-2, Amin-1, Accountant-1, MIS Computer Programmer-1, Community Organizer-1, Peon-2, Work Sarkar-1, watchman-1, 52 Nos. of sanitation worker.
Allocation of Business :
To execute the decisions of the Council.
What does right to information mean ?
1. It includes the right to
2. Inspect works, documents and records.
3. Take notes, extracts or certified copies of documents or records.
4. Take certified samples of material.
5. Obtain information in form of printouts, diskettes, floppies, tapes, video cassettes or in any other electronic mode or through printouts. Can obtain Softcopy or Hardcopy.
Who are the Public Information officers(PIO) ?
PIOs are officers designated by the public authorities in all administrative units or offices under it to provide information to the citizens requesting for information under the Act. Any officer, whose assistance has been sought by the PIO for the proper discharge of his or her duties, shall render all assistance and for the purpose of contraventions of the provisions of this Act, such other officer shall be treated as a PIO.
